The Tiger 12 Commercial Hovercraft
The Tiger 12 Hovercraft is the only Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) approved passenger carrying commercial hovercraft of its type in the UK. Presently seating 8 passengers, it provides access to areas incaccesible to larger craft.
The Tiger Hovercraft is fully amphibious allowing the transition from sea to land in all terrains. Hovercraft ride on a bed of air and do not disturb the ground or produce wash on the water, making them environmentally sound. The Tiger 12 Hovercraft has been used on Natural England land, where the reduced wake, disturbance to the ground and low noise has provided the ideal craft for operations, facilitating the project.
The Tiger 12 commercial hovercraft suprises in many ways; it is highly manoeuvrable on land and sea; it is quieter and less intrusive than expected; it does not disturb the land or sea containing the elements within the skirt. It is an excellent high speed crew vessel that can operate anywhere. It is comfortable for passengers, can be craned out for maintenance and is road transportable behind a conventional 4×4.
